The transformation of me

{March 27, 2012}   The beginning

So I made a vow to myself to change the way that I look at food and life.  I have decided that I will not diet becasue that is only a temporary solution, and what I want is a permanent solution! With that beinging said I am at the begining of my journey to become a healthier person.  First I have cute back on the amount of food that I eat. I will try to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day but that is kind of hard to do but it is worth it when the results are in.  Instead of beef, I have replaced it with turkey.  I am giving up pork all together, bye bye bacon, I will miss you.  I will make sure that I eat lean protein and fit in the number of fruit and veggies to be eaten daily. Hey guess what you don’t have to give up bread, rice or pasta, just opt for the whole grain version of these items and you will be set plus you will get more fiber and stay fuller longer. Hey ever heard of the saying “An apple a day keep the doctor away” research it, and you will find it to be true.

So to make this journey possible, I needed a little help and motivation so I got a personal trainer and boy! Yesterday was my first day with the trainer and he did not take it easy at all. I promise I was doing part of the LL Cool J routine (I better have his abs after I am done).  Anyway I felt pretty good working out but of course he had to push me to see how far I could go, I must say I am surprised how well I did even though parts of the workout were pretty painful.  It doesn’t matter,  like my husband told me before I went to the gym “baby, no pain no gain”. I am kinda sore today but not as much as I thought I would be, I am sure I will be eating these words soon.  This is day one and I am all in.  I am bringing my sexy back and Vincent Smith better watch out because I will  be too hot to handle and he is going to have to keep up!  I have gotten my motivation and will power up, how about you?  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, 2012 is my year to get it together, anyone care to join me?

No prayer=no power, little prayer = little power, much prayer = much power.

Much love sweeties!
